At the Eastern end of the Heavy Mettle drain is a connection/overflow into the High Level Relief sewer from the Northern High level sewer, prior to it becoming the Northern Outfall sewer.

We shot a tiny bit of footage of the overflow, showing it at that time receiving about twenty percent of the flow it is capable of, it serves as a good reminder that London drains are to be taken very seriously, especially as this is a small example of its type!
