A culverted tributary of the Chedoke Creek, Hamilton, Ontario, another from our Toronto trip of autumn
2006. Varying from concrete box sections to RCP its namesake stairways are impressive and given the
change in topography which made them necessary the water flow in the culvert gets along some. Yellow/golden
flecks in the concrete make for some great torch play.
The upstream entrance grille is a monster and as you're not able to exit from there we opted to pop a cover
and surprise the local golfing middle class. Walking upstream from the infall grille, you eventually reach
the plunge pool of Chedoke falls drain outfall. The drain itself is not noteably interesting by all accounts,
but the falls, they're no Niagara but beautiful non the less.
