HOME UNDERGROUND EXCESS

Battlecruiser

Noted to be the drain that puts Burlington on the map I have to say I really enjoyed exploring Battlecruiser. I say I have to say as modern storm drainage isn't usually the most exciting of explores for me, no matter what the scale of it. But Battlecruiser, it's just quirky, and quirky is always good! Add to that several nice pockets of natural light and it's a winner for sure.

Starting out as a good sized concrete box section the creek water here was pretty deep in places, upto mid thigh high. It soon shallows out to a couple of inches as you continue round a super long curve towards the first junction chamber. Here grilles allow masses of light into the box section and you get your first view of how the drain is set to continue, Corrugated Metal Pipe.

From here on in this drain is a series of CMP stretches that hit grill topped CMP chambers and then continue on until you reach the infall grill which appeared to be behind a row of houses. With some nice little waterfalls and interesting side pipes it is a good explore! Closing point of note, don't try to pick up the Crawfish that live there in, at least not the bigger ones! LOL!!
